The San Joaquin Community Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Copperopolis Fire Protection District, as well as $4,000 for two Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines, $8,500 for blood pressure cuffs and glucose monitors, and $5,724 for kitchen upgrades to the West Point Community Food Pantry, Mother Lode Broadcasting reports.
The Calaveras Community Foundation was established through a Delta Blood Bank Foundation gift aimed at improving health services, health outcomes, and medical education in the area.
